We are often asked about Sparklebright that has been purchased from various shows around the country. As stated elsewhere on this site, we purchase ours from the supplier that makes the product to the same recipe that was used 30 years ago. It is a firm, jelly like consistency and white/pale cream in colour as can be seen in the first image below which has had the plastic tub removed.
We are not saying that the product sold as Sparklebright in the second image will not work but it is not made to the same original recipe.

We originally supplied Sparklebright to Scuba Tech Diving in Cyprus, to try on their masks to see if it would combat the usual misting problems. Unfortunately, that didn't work, because divers get too much water on their masks before they ever get beneath the waves so the coating just got washed off. However, they did try it on their underwater camera housings as going from the hot air to the cooler sea produced a lot of condensation. In their words:
"I tried Sparklebright and the difference is phenomenal. No condensation, so no fog on the lens covering up my pictures and no pesky water droplets threatening to drown my camera inside."

Certainly not something that is guaranteed, but on two occasions, a dvd that refused to play and stuck at the same place, was given a good clean with Sparklebright - and now works perfectly! This was after trying an ultrasonic cleaner and soap and water - both to no avail.
